The Library's Mission

The libraries are here to serve the entire BFIS community. All are welcome at any time.
The libraries strives to be intellectual cornerstones of BFIS by
linking our school community to an ever wider circle of literature,
knowledge and information.

We provide support for the community by:

-fostering a love of reading & literature
-encouraging reading as an essential & fundamental habit
-promoting independent learning & critical thinking
-offering a collection of materials that support the curriculum
-ensuring that students have access to information representing a wide variety of perspectives & viewpoints
-collecting & providing information in a variety of formats
-supporting our teachers’ instruction
-providing students with the skills to search for, evaluate & use information effectively & independently.
